Befriending Peace
for Caregivers

Befriending Peace for Caregivers is a thoughtfully designed six-session mindfulness program offered online in a supportive small-group setting and led by an experienced mentor.

This program is suitable for all caregivers—whether you're caring for a child or family member with a serious illness, looking after an aging parent, supporting a loved one from afar, or working in a professional caregiving role.

It is designed to offer caregivers a welcoming and supportive space to directly experience evidence-based practices and tools, and cultivate a mindfulness practice that fits into their unique daily routines—helping them feel more grounded and better resourced for the meaningful work they do.

What to Expect

The Befriending Peace for Caregivers program focuses on mindfulness mentoring. Each week, you'll meet in a welcoming online space with a small group of fellow caregivers and an experienced mentor to:

  • Explore evidence-based mindfulness and heart practices

  • Practice guided meditation to deepen awareness and strengthen inner resources

  • Connect with others who understand your journey and share valuable insights

  • Discover proven practices and tools to help reduce stress and prevent burnout

  • Create a safe and meaningful experience for all by honoring group agreements

Each session will guide you to re-connect with your innate capacity for presence and the most loving, wise, and resourceful part of who you are. As your practice deepens, you’ll notice some of the well-documented benefits of mindfulness, including:

  • Lower levels of stress and anxiety

  • Improved ability to navigate challenging situations

  • Deeper connection to yourself and others

  • Enhanced emotional resilience and grounding

  • Greater sense of presence, ease and overall well-being

  • Better resourced to do the valuable work of caregiving

"This group exceeded my expectations! Every week, I had so much reflection and gained deep awareness from Denise's words. I have become aware of the stillness in me that is my true being and am now able to identify and tap into that place in me to create a grounded sense of calm and purpose. It is critical in my journey to not only heal but enrich my relationship with myself and those I love. I am so very grateful. – BP Group Participant
